  1. Lift the filter latch on the underside of the hood.
  2. Slide the metal mesh filter out from under the hood and soak in a sink of hot water with a heaped tablespoon of bicarb and a squirt of dishwashing liquid for 20 minutes. Scrub with a soft brush, rinse, dry, refit.
